Italian artist and activist Gianluca Costantini learned of Howard Brandstein’s impressive history recently at a neighborhood event and created this image of Howard, sharing his story on his website. He accompanied this with this note:
Dear Sixth Street,
I am an Italian artist and activist. On April 20, I attended the event organized by Seth Tobocman at the Francis Kite Club in New York, where I had the chance to learn about your story.
